From luxury for the sake of glory to the consumption of luxury
We begin our tour in Place Vendôme, the setting designed by Louis XIV to display his statue. We will then move on to the Palais-Royal, the cradle of luxury consumption. Finally, we will wander through 3 galleries, evoking the memory of a frenetic activity linked to the pleasures of consumerism at a time of major transformation in French society, the Restoration.
I recommend the Saturday daytime slots. The galleries close in the evening. Some are also closed on Sundays.
